Our Next Chapter: Codafication’s Values for 2026

In 2015, Codafication started as a bold idea from inside the industry it serves. Cofounders Dan Sandaver and Drew Bulter saw firsthand how clunky systems, manual processes, and disconnected data made it harder for insurers and their supply chains to look after

Eleven years later, Codafication is a founderled, Insurtech company employing over 50 people in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. Its client list include publicly listed insurers who write more than $15 billion in annual insurance premium.

As we mark over a decade in business, we’ve worked with our leaders and our people across all parts of the organisation to evolve our company values for where we are now – and where we’re going next.

Codafication’s previous values – including Open Minds Open Doors, Learning = Leading, Pursue Excellence, and Be the Difference – were introduced as the company grew beyond its small core team. They helped us:

  • Recognise and celebrate behaviours that make Codafication a great place to work
  • Provide a framework for supporting people, fostering learning, and celebrating success
  • Guide how teams lead, collaborate, and show up for customers

But after eleven years, Dan believes it’s time for an evolution.

 

“They’ve served a purpose to date,” he says. “Looking ahead, we need to reset them – make them more succinct, more meaningful, and more purposeful as we grow.”

Our 2026 values build on what has always shaped Codafication’s culture, with a sharper, more practical focus. They’re clearer, more actionable, and designed to resonate whether you’re in Brisbane, New Zealand, Canada, or wherever we land next.
